Hellooo mon cheries! A quick update on a mundane Tuesday....
Went to Sephora today to help the Sister pick up her birthday gift and couldn't help but do some shopping...I'm such a nimble shopper!
I've also busied myself with crafting and packaging Christmas gifts =D My desk looks like the 5th day of WWII, but you're not a true crafter (which btw is NOT a real word...pffft) until you cannot find your crafting tools underneath all the mess!
Stay tuned for a holiday giveaway!
xoxo Miss Woolu

Shiseido Warehouse Sale!!
Thanks to Missmicchan, my sister and I were able to pick up a whole loot of stuff from the Shiseido warehouse sale today! There is still another day of sale ongoing from 9am-3pm tomorrow (Sunday), so if you have time, go check it out! (address at the end of the post). Everything is from 25-60% retail price. There was such a long line up when we arrived at 10am (sorry forgot to take photo of the massive asian population all waiting anxiously in the cloudy weather)! It took us 2 hours to get inside and when we were inside it felt like china town (minus the bargaining). We've never encountered so many uneducated, bawny chinese women with their equally as rude husbands. Some women did not even understand the use of the products and still grabbed as many as possible. It's as if, whenever there is a sale, ajummas are the first ones to rush to the scene. It got so ridiculous, that before some lady paid for her goods, she pointed to her eyelashes and asked me in her broken English if she was holding mascara... O_O. Yes madame, it says so on the label, and if you are not aware of the use of the product why did you ask the SA for it?!. Some lady also grabbed 10+ Shiseido cleansing foam thinking it was moisturizer - maybe she thought she was getting a deal since it was so cheap. I'm not sure if she realized her mistake, but she put some on her hand to test and it started to foam... =P
Most of the items were geared towards Shiseido skincare products with limited palettes/single eyeshadows available from NARS. I wanted to pick up some Orlane skincare but that would have burned a nonrecoverable hole in my wallet. I would definitely recommend going to this sale if you are a fan of any of the Shiseido skincare lines, which are about 30-40% off. Their lipsticks/lipglosses were at least 50% off retail prices. I also saw a lot of people picking up litres and litres of hair shampoo/conditioner but I did not recognize the brand name. I picked up Joico Silk Result shampoo, a brand I've never tried to test out since it seems really popular among other people's purchases.
And now... the goods my sister and I collectively hauled (plus another Nars palette I forgot to photograph):
I'll try to put together a swatch/review post but there is a LOT of products I have to go through...I'm also too scared to look at the receipt....
The address of the sale is:
303 Allstate Parkway, Markham -- east of Woodbine.
Have a relaxing Sunday! Or not if you are planning to go to the sale =P

The Gmarket Haul Part 1
I come in a package of being fidgety and lazy rolled into one (but I am mainly lazy), so I've split my haul in two parts for the Gmarket haul and some more parts for my other hauls. Gmarket Haul Part 1 focuses on non-fashion related items.
This is my passport holder! I find that whenever I travel I shove my passport in my purse causing it to be in the most disgusting condition ever. This passport holder will protect it now! It's made of pleather and the seller 하이델 has it in many colors. Each color corresponds to a different country - the one I have is copper brown and represents Seoul. The freebies that came with the purchase were a lipstick pen and a single mask... which appears to be for men....so likely Mr.W will use this! I would purchase from this seller again because they have many other really adorable items great for travelling!
My new GD580 cellphone case! It's made of pleather coated with water resistant material (so it's very shiny). Unfortunately, it doesn't fit properly because the design is flawed. The camera hole opening is not placed properly!! But for $6 I can't complain much.... The seller is ♡미소피아♡ and sells other casings for cellphones for approximately the same price. The one I purchased may actually be slightly more expensive because of the material used (pleather vs. plastic). The designs are all very cute and the seller also gives two free screen covers with the purchase.
My favorite purchase of the bunch (excluding fashion related purchases). This camera casing was so cheap but is so durable and so chic!! Initially, I could not decide if I wanted white or pink more, but in the end picked the pink/blue combination because white gets dirty too easily! The case is VERY well made given that it's produced in China and for the price. It fits my Sony W55 perfectly, but if the camera is any bulkier, this case would not be appropriate. I purchased it from 스타기프트.
My last non-fashion related item from my Gmarket haul is this Castledew eyeshadow palette. It's BE905 Blackish Smokey. I'm not sure if it's a new palette but on the seller (스킨밀크에센스샵)'s site, it says these are new colors. The casing is a magnet for fingerprints! I haven't had the chance to use it yet, but on the back it says it's baked, so I'm assuming it's not very pigmented and will require some foiling....
Shipping: None of the prices listed include shipping. Overall, shipping would add about $3 to each of the lighter items and more to the heavier items, considering I got shoes!
Issues: I actually had some issues making this order. I wanted to use the the balance in my gaccount so I checked out my items using the gaccount balance option. However I was not aware that you cannot make partial payments with your gaccount and have the remaining balance paid by credit card/paypal. I had no issues with paying the full balance using with my paypal account, however, once you've select the gaccount option, you either have to pay the balance in full with the gaccount or deposit money into your account - except I did not live in Korea nor did I have a korean bank account.
The money in your Gaccount is money that you've either accumulate from a) overpayment in shipping charges; b) deposits (only from a korean bank account); c) you were selected as blogger of the month and they deposit a gmarket certificate voucher into your account.
Long story short, from the bantering emails between Gmarket and I, representatives there told me that I had to cancel my order and then make another order and pay with paypal. ~~~ヽ(#゚Д゚)ノ!!!!! What they didn't realize was that it took me hours to select all the items I wanted and did not exactly save all the urls/product codes of the items I selected. On top of that, they were going to deduct 3 points for cancelling the order. (Note: you earn points for each successful item transaction but if you lose these points and go into the negatives, Gmarket will ban you from buying from them again - similar to Ebay ratings). In the end, I cancelled my first order, and made an identical second order but did not get my points deducted. Moral of the story: make sure you have sufficient funds in your gaccount before using it to pay for your order!!
I leave you with my Lunasol, Sofina Aube and Bourjois haul! (I will have to review all this later!). You've made it through the first part of my Gmarket haul/rant! Hurrah! アヒャヒャヘ(゚∀゚*)ノヽ(*゚∀゚)ノアヒャヒャ.
Happy Hump Day! ♥

Massive Haul and Spring Fashion
I was at H&M with Mr.W and he kindly reminded me to pick up the spring catalog. Way to encourage my shoppaholic...ism! -__-;;.
Anyway, did any of the items in the spring collection catch your eye?
Anyway, did any of the items in the spring collection catch your eye?
I really like this dress! It looks like it's made of chiffon material (my fav ^__^). It reminds me very much of the Mori Style (very loose and ethnic). I want to get...! but I have not seen it in the stores yet.
I don't get this... her top half of the outfit looks like it's made of stocking material... so shouldn't she be wearing that on the bottom?! I like the blazer though.
And finally....
This is some of the stuff I've hauled at the end of February and beginning of March.... Most of it is my gmarket haul. Oh boy, I don't even know where to begin with the reviews.... also, instead of putting up a tutorial for purchasing from Gmarket (because Kathi of Lotus Palace has done an awesome job), please ask me any questions and I will write a detail response! I will also be going through some of the nuances/trial & errors I went through with Gmarket for this haul. Stay tuned!
Happy Friday ♥

Chinese New Years and Jewelry Haul
I've been lazy and avoided blogging! Actually I've been swamped with work so blogging has been on the back burner lately..... at least I am blogging once a week! =P
Anyway here is my haul from Steph of Julu Jewelry:
Always the immaculate wrapper!! I love all the candy she included, of which I gobbled all up the next day! SO YUMMY! Steph was also too kind and included the VS sparkling eyeshadow in Twinkled Pink for me to try! Unfortunately my plans to dress up for Vday and to test out the eyeshadow failed because I ended up staying at home for CNY (therefore I decided to slob it down for the day =P)
I ordered the Golden Bow Earrings with Hearts and the Star Bit Clusters necklace. When I first saw the golden bow earrings I just fell in love with them!! I knew I had to have them so I made sure Steph reserved them for me. To be honest, I also had the deep sea blue hearts earrings in the shopping cart as well, but Mr. W said I was too greedy and should let some other girl out there be lucky for once... (aka I need to exercise some self restraint -__-;;), so in the end I had to let the other pair go... but now I am kicking myself because it looks like it's been sold! I've been wearing these almost every day because they are 14K filled wires and have not had any allergic reactions.
I've also been interchanging my star bit clusters necklace with the small heart necklace (also from Julu Jewelry) every day causing Mr. W to be quite miffed since I've been neglecting the heart necklace he got for me from Swarovski -haha!!. Thanks Steph! (Don't worry, I take full responsibility for the petty arguments between Mr.W and I :p)
Happy Friday!!

Lolli-Lollipopppp
I've been lemming the icecream phone for the LONGEST time and then suddenly the Lollipop gets released! I just had to (well not had to but let's just say the resistance was futile) get my hands on one.
Here is a video of Big Bang playing with the selca function. I still cannot figure out how to set the function settings for the internal camera so that it changes the faces (kind of like Macbook's photo booth) as seen in the Big Bang video. Maybe it's only available on the Korean Cyon phone version? Does anyone with a Lollipop know how to use this function?
Are you currently thinking of switching to a different phone? If so, which one?
(source: various google photos)
From top to bottom, left to right (all LG phones): KF350 (ice cream), GD580 (Lollipop), GW300, BL20
Out of all these phones, I ended picking up today....
The GD580 aka the Lollipop! (mhmm I guess it's not much of a given the post title... =__=;;).
I cannot give a detail review yet because I haven't used it... much. I've played around with it for a good 4 hours. I'll probably only post up any issues I have with the phone since there are plenty of specifications/features review and photos out there. I'm not sure how much I like LG phones because I know they're slower and not as reliable in terms of providing reception. As you can see my previous phones were ALL Sony Ericssons. My "current" phone prior to the GD580 was the G900 which I'm still going to use since it's a smart phone and so sleek and handy, but I couldn't resist the temptation of sporting such a cute pink phone!
I also love the LED lights and how if you want to mute your phone from a phonecall, simply flip the phone over! Surprising, the camera provides good quality photos (at least on the screen) for 3MP camera. The camera tends to take more yellow photos but nothing that the white balance function cannot fix. Even the 1.3MP internal camera appears to be of decent quality.

A Girl's Love
I am finally getting to posting the jewelry I've purchased and received from Steph of Julu Jewelry! I ordered two necklaces, one of the small heart and one of the simply love me heart necklace.
Go check out Steph's jewelry. They're really high quality, stunning and wonderfully made; she also writes really cute notes and provides lots of snacks (which usually disappears within the first 5 minutes of receipt....)!.
This is the small heart in black diamond AB. It comes with a sterling silver chain, but I took it off temporarily. I wear this every day!
This is the Simply Love Me in Deep Sea Blue. It's REALLY sparkly and fabulous in real life.
This is the Filigree Heart LE earrings that I won from Tammi, from The Culture Enthusiast several months ago when I named her earrings from Steph. I love them! They're so girly and romantic. Thanks Tammi!!

Happy Holidays and Gmarket Haul
trHappy Holidays!! It's snowing and super cold in Canada, but I managed to avoid parts of the freezing temperature temporarily.
I just came back from the sunny Nassau and the Bahamas and is every so slighly tanned... and to also find the airports in chaos! It's difficult to be so detached to the world when you are on vacation and then to find out there was almost another catastrophe! Anyway, I digress.... loved the weather!
Also, my Gmarket order came! I was so ecstatic because I thought it would never arrive, or that I would have to pay the shipping fee again, but Gmarket came through!! It makes me feel so appreciative how responsible Gmarket and the Korea Post is in comparison to Canada Post... complete awesome service!
Just three packages!! Literally the three packages could have fit snuggly in that white box underneath the pink package... I guess the only complaint is the shipping fees (which is frustrating but won't prevent me from ordering again). To give a rough idea of what the shipping costs were like, for this order, shipping was 30% of the total cost, for <1.5kg. I ordered shoes, which made up most of the weight, but swim wear was locked in at 0.5kg.
The shoes, are made of pleather, but the quality is surprisingly good for $15 (excluding shipping). I will definitely be purchasing more shoes!
Overall, albeit being so worried for not receiving my order, Gmarket came through in the end and I am still a happy customer. The process of ordering is only complex when going through all the options/designs to select the product since everything is written in Korean. Payment, however, is relatively easy because we can now pay through Paypal. Shipping is really fast, since I can see through the tracking slip that it arrives at the local post office within two days of shipping (but make sure your address is correct)!!

I love the design and material of the second swim wear, which I believe you can actually use in a pool.... the seller is K-Girl and I'm pretty satisfied with the purchase. The first swim wear's quality is made of terry cloth, which is not appropriate in water, but will suffice for tanning purposes! I forgot who the seller was!

Shipping Delays!!! GAHHHH
I am so upset with Gmarket and Canada Post!! I don't know if I am more frustrated with the Gmarket and it's confusing policies or Canada's customs and it's incompetencies. I'd probably bet on the latter.
I made my order a month ago and Gmarket shipped it within a day. It arrived in Canada the next day. Props to EMS! HOWEVER, that being said, my package sat at customs for nearly a month. Being the savy consumer, I thought, okay, fine, I'll just wait patiently for it to clear customs. Lo' and behold, I looked at my tracking slip and it said my package was shipped back to Korea yesterday.
Oh for goodness sake, WHY!!! I bought shoes and swim wear. How can that EVER be destructive. I don't think shoes have every killed anyone....oh sorry, I take it back. A shoe did almost killed George W. Bush.
I've contacted Gmarket and is waiting to hear from them, but the tracking slip says my package has been shipped out again and this time it's FINAL DELIVERY, whatever that means. I'm crossing my fingers, this time it will be successful!
Has this ever happened to you with your Gmarket packages?
{edit: post rant}
I just received a call from David from Gmarket telling me why my package was sent back. He said that Canada Post told them the address was wrong, which does not make sense at all! Again, I blame the Canadian postal system. There's some sort of conspiracy going on with Canada customs... plus the employees are rude. But, what a nice man David was. He told me my package will be shipped tomorrow and I should receive it within a week. No hassles, no extra costs. I think I've regained my confidence in Gmarket again! (Hopefully my package comes as stated....)

Post UFE Hauls
Needless to say, the few afters the results were posted, I rewarded myself with purchases. I was a pretty happy shopper that day I must admit!
I went by Mosaic for some jewelry. This place is possibly one of my favorite places to shop for jewelry because they sell affordable and very cute pieces. I purchased the 925 rhodium plated Mosaic Heart Ring encrusted with pink CZ gems and a white ToyWatch from the Plasteramic Watch Collection. ToyWatch is Italian designer wrist watch company that specializes in offering luxury style watches at low prices. They sell watches which essentially cater for the 'young' fashionable market, and have some famous clientelle. Including Oprah Winfrey, Sylvester Stallone, Michael Jordan, Leonardo DiCaprio, Madonna, Al Gore, Charlize Theron (source: Wikipedia). Miley Cyrus is wearing the same one I purchased below:
ToyWatches can also be purchased from Holt Renfrew locations listed on the Canadian website. The White Plasteramic dial with crystal markers retails $225USD on the website, but I believe Canadian retailers sell it at $300CDN. I have not checked out the prices at Holt Renfrew but prices should be comparable to Mosaic.
Hope you all girls have a fun and relaxing weekend!

I stopped by Sephora and picked up another Shu Uemura curler because I was getting so fed up with my Sana spring curler - it just won't curl my lashes properly and pinches my eyelids (therefore, despite the good spring effort in the curler, I do not recommend it!) I also picked up OPI Sephora nail polishes in Metro Chic and Under My Trench Coat. Metro Chic is a rather brooding muddy grey shade with a hint of purple. With two coats, it's still pretty purple, but three coats will make it smokey grey. I'm a shimmer or nude color type of gal, so I'm still getting use to this shade! I have not tried My Trench Coat yet but it appears to be grey with gold shimmer ^___^
I love The Big Bang Theory so I picked up a copy of the second season, which I will probably rewatch many many times. This show is seriously too underrated! I also hauled from F21 but got too lazy to take photos of my purchases =P. That concludes the gifts to myself....time to shop for Christmas presents!

A Mini Haul
Collectively, my sister and I are slowly updating our makeup collection by adding and deleting piece by piece. I think it's more of a concern for me since I still have mascara and concealer from university. But then again, my sister uses expired sunscreen.
I ordered the Shiseido Integrate lipstick in shade #399 last week and the box arrived a tad dented, but still in good condition!
(Photo credits: I transferred my entries from my previous blog)

The color looks like it could be a deep hot pink but it's actually quite sheer and not as pigmented as I'd imagined. It's a nice color but I was looking for a lighter more baby pink for a spring/summer look. I guess that's my cue to do more hauls! ^__^
This is Lancôme's blush in Miel Glace and was $34CDN! The packaging was nothing exciting but at least had GWP (some of Lancome's best products face/hand creme is included). Unfortunately the makeup case is pretty fugly and undermines the concept of beauty....
I bought MUFE's HD primer in Mauve from Sephora to test out since I've heard great reviews on it. I was debating between this and the one in green that reduces redness but I think I tend to emit sallow yellowness more often (you know, being Asian and all). I also purchased Maybelline's eyebrow pencil to experiment with. I know I have eyebrows but sometimes I think they deserve to be pampered and given more attention. Side note, when I was a Sephora, I noticed that the beauty consultants are rather low in standards. The one who tried to offer me her services had three very noticable flaming pimples that looked ready to be popped. Yes, that offers quite a lot of encouragement for customers to purchase their products. Not to mention, she also had a very heavy chinese accent so it made it really difficult to ask her about specific products I was looking for. Okay, can't really flame her for her lack of English skills because I'm sure Kevin Beautymaker from 女人我最大 can't speak a lick of English either, but he can sure create amazing makeup looks.
I truely believe these pumps from Forever21 were a steal at $15. Mr.W doesn't like them because they aren't "bling bling" enough, but really, what does men know about shoes, unless they're gay, shoe sales men, or both.

February Air
It's already near the end of February, but it feels as if time is in a standstill.
Is February largely about love and romance? I feel as if it's only a traditional excuse for couples to display their love and affections publicly and for the ones who are single to relish in the pity. This, all in all, is absolute silliness. Why should February be any different than any other month or day? Why should you or your SO only spend one insignificant day to profess your love to each other? Well, if you only feel loved on that one day, then you are being cheated. I'm sorry, but you should not appreciate or be appreciated on one out of 365 days of the year. February 14th should also not be a day that is placed on a high pedestal with expectations that not even the most romantic protagonist in a cheesy Harlequin novel can achieve.
Okay, rant over! Time for some February recap. Mr. W and I basked in the glory of food food and more food (yes, so what else is new?) all month. No wonder I am quite the Chubs and can't quite fit into my pants and have resorted to tights and skirts (it's work equivalent clothing to sweat pants).
Our $35/person Winterlicious meal at Celestin consisted of:
Maple syrup cured Atlantic salmon with Szechwan pepper crust, seedling and avocado oil
Verdict: Too salty, and lacked the freshness of the Atlantic salmon.... or maybe that's what cured means? Unfortunately my knowledge of food only pertains up to what is aired on the Food Network and sometimes I still get confused by Gaida...
B.C. crab soup ‘Bouillabaisse’ style, red pepper aïoli croutons (no photo)
Verdict: Meh.
Tender braised buffalo rib with Banyuls wine and fingerling potatoes ‘Grand-Mère’ style (no photo)
Verdict: According to Mr. W it tastes like soup brewed pork. I think it tastes like braised beef aka minced "au naam".
Hokkaido scallops and lobster gratin in shell, with medley of snow peas (no photo)
Verdict: The sauce was scrumptious, but either of us can probably whip up the same stuff for a quarter of the price. Unfortunately I don't have photos of either main course because I did not want to pull a Tourist and blind the couple on our left with my camera's flash. Talk about ruining a romantic moment with paparazzi creepiness!
5. Pecan chocolate moelleux with French caramel ice cream
Verdict: Brownie with ice-cream. They fooled me with the french.
6. Pistachio crème brulée
Verdict: Surprisingly creamy, but then I only took a bite because it was the only decent part of Mr. W's meal, so I did not have the heart to engulf his whole dessert down.
Atmosphere:
Good romantic feel, except for the drunk women who had their drinks at the bar first and then titter-tottered to their dinner tables. Would we go there again? In terms of location, it's super convenient, but the quality of the food has me questioning if whether or not I could pay for better food and service elsewhere. I'm not sure if most of these restaurants are hyped up or not but I feel as if I get more of my money's worth eating at Springrolls. However, the cool thing is that the chef is handicapped below the hips, so he cooks in a one of a kind kitchen that allows him to cook in a wheelchair. I heard the kitchen revolves....but could be a myth!

We dined and wined at Uncle Joe's on supposedly the most romantic day of the year. This restaurant is a hybrid of when Eastern meets Western. So basically, you have Chinese people cooking a Western meal. Kind of like, a cat attempting to pass off as a tiger. I think they pulled it off decently for those who rarely go out to eat or when they do it's take out or McDonalds. In fact, there is a lot of room for this place, because every dish seemed to have come out of the oven at 500 degrees Celsius aka charred and moldy. I think part of it can be blamed on my cellphone's camera under the "romantic" but poor lighting. Though, when you eat it, the dish does not taste as bad as it looks (I know, I sound delusional, but you're just going have to take my word for it).
The rather bland soup - I don't even remember the texture, taste or what went into it now.
Garlic bread that even I could heat up better with bread from Metro.
The sad attempt of freshly marinated squid. It's sad because it was neither fresh or marinated. At least it was squid.
Mr. W's lamp chops, which were a little dry and overcooked. I didn't take a large enough bite to critique it (because I cannot stand the smell of lamb) but Mr. W claims it was decent. At that point, I think decent would be 5/10 if not 4/10.
I had the New York steak and I found it a little dry and the meat a little difficult to cut. Or, perhaps that is a result of a dull knife?? But nonetheless, for the price the food was offered, it's a decent place to go for couples with a thin wallet. Plus, at the end of the meal the waitresses presented me with a rose! I like free stuff.
Uncle Joe's is located in the heart of Unionville.
Mr.W spent the next entire morning make up for the two mediocre meals with his superbly delicious sushi.
YUMMMM.

My mouth salivates just thinking about the eel.....
Other in the news tidbits: Sister came back from England with lots of goodies and I managed to paw my way thru to claim some of them.
My Primark hobo purse! Primark is a UK store that is literally a shoppaholic's heaven because their stuff is so cheap and so IN style. They sell designer imitations and which is why people purchase from Primark and resell it online as Primark goodies (I think they're a bit like H&M but with much better quality and slightly more affordable). This purse was purchased for 5quids and resold on ebay for 15quids + additional shipping. OUTRAGEOUS. My sister also managed to purchase for me a pair of tan buckled boots for 10quids, which people are selling atrociously for 30+pounds.
My longchamp! Hello helloooo beautiful.
Walkers is apparently the North American version of Lays. This flavor had an odd curry aftertaste. I think I prefer Lays... Ironically, even though it's called Monster Munch, the bag is puny. I finished it off in six or seven bites. North American manufacturers should learn from the Brits instead of attempting to persuade BObama to regulate obesity.
What the chip actually looked like. The texture is similar to those of onion rings, but lighter and probably less fattening.
